FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY in South End — 5PM-9PM | Looking for a weekend kickoff? Food truck delicacies abound at the corner of Camden Road and Park Avenue in South End. There are quite a few food trucks with tons of options; there truly is something for everyone. Grab a six pack across the street at Common Market or a beer from Phat Burrito and mingle with fellow foodies on what should be a beautiful Friday Night!

CHARLOTTE HORNETS at Time Warner Cable Arena — 7PM | Our Hornets (2-3) will take on the Atlanta Hawks (1-2) in Uptown at Time Warner Cable Arena at 7pm.

LARKIN POE WITH SAM BURCHFIELD at The Evening Muse — DOORS OPEN AT 7PM | The Evening Muse in NoDa is one of the coolest spots in Charlotte. Larkin Poe is a pair of sisters from Atlanta and Sam Burchfield is a singer/songwriter from Seneca, SC and is currently a University of Georgia student. Check them out.

RACHAEL YAMAGATA at Visulite Theatre — DOORS OPEN AT 8PM | Visulite Theatre is a great music venue in Elizabeth, just a few blocks outside of Uptown. Rachael Yamagata is supported by The Dove and The Wolf and Hemming. All three acts make some incredibly beautiful music.

DOLLAR SIGNS WITH GRACE JOYNER at Snug Harbor — DOORS OPEN AT 8:30PM | Snug Harbor (in Plaza Midwood) is one of the few music venues in Charlotte that has something going on every night of the week. This show definitely won’t disappoint. Check out their music, both acts are on Spotify.

FAMILY DAY at Bechtler Museum — 12PM-4:30PM | Kids and families can explore the art and artists in the Bechtler collection through special art activities and family-focused museum tours. Children: FREE, adults: $8.

JJ’S RED HOTS SAUSAGEFEST — 3PM-7PM | Unlimited house-made sausages, unlimited local craft beer. That is probably all that needs to be said. JJ’s Red Hots is located in Dilworth and they will be hosting this tasty event on their rooftop deck and in their parking lot.

THE UNKNOWN BREWING CHILI COOKOFF – 2PM-7PM | 20 teams will be competing to see who has the best chili in Charlotte – and you get to the be the judge. Broken Napoleons, Outlaw 21, and Wiggle Wagons with also be performing. Unknown Brewing is a brewery in South End and they’ve got some killer beer. This should be an awesome event!
